Example:  A 1,500 square foot ranch house in a subdivision of 1,800-2,400 square foot ranch houses will generally sell for more that a similar 1,500 square foot ranch house in a nearby subdivision consisting of 1,200-1,600 square foot ranch houses.  This is an example of nonconformity causing progression.
