The Remainderman is the person or persons named to receive property at the termination of a life estate

 

Example:  A spouse receives a life estate in a house that goes to the children at his/her death.  The children are the remaindermen

 

The remainderman has remainder rights in a life estate.

 

Literally, a remainderman is entitled to take the estate in remainder.
