Characteristics of a Tenancy by the Entireties
•Tenancy between husband and wife only
•Includes right of survivorship
•The four unities must be present
•Not recognized in Georgia
•At the death of one of the tenants, the survivor becomes the owner without the need for a will
•Any change in the status of the property (such as sale or mortgage) must have both the husband and wife as parties to the transaction
•At divorce, the tenancy is dissolved and automatically becomes a tenancy in common
