Growth is the initial stage in the neighborhood life cycle.  This is the time when the neighborhood is developing and expanding.  Houses, subdivisions, complementary commercial buildings and shopping centers, schools, etc. are being built.  Relative to the other stages in the life cycle, the growth stage is generally short.
